Ruffa Gutierrez, 47, demonstrates that when it comes to education, age is just a number.
The celebrity mother recently disclosed that she is in her final year of studies for a Communication Arts degree and will graduate in July 2022.
This clarifies all the speculations about her suddenly becoming absent a lot from her projects, particularly the noontime show It’s Showtime.
On Wednesday, March 2, Ruffa was then again absent from It’s Showtime.
The next day, she explained her absence to Vice Ganda and Ogie Alcasid during the “Sexy Babe” part of the noontime show.
According to the former beauty queen, “Naku, nag-aaral ako. Feeling niyo sexy babe lang ako. I had academic deadlines. Practicum ko na so tomorrow yung last day ko… I’m graduating college in July.”
She continued, “So it’s never too late. At least hindi na lang ako high school graduate. Kasi for the longest time, high school graduate.
“Pero excuse me, 13 years old naman nagtatrabaho na ako, di ba?”
Meanwhile Lorin Ruffa’s eldest daughter, expressed her pride at her mother’s latest achievement on Monday, March 7, 2022.
Lorin wrote on her Instagram Stories: (published as is), “my mom is getting her college degree!!! she beat me to it and is gonna graduate before me [emoji] its never too late, so proud of you @iloveruffaq [emojis]”
Lorin added, “she started working at 13 and never got the chance to finish her studies… until now & you are so inspiring @iloveruffag.”
Lorin, like Ruffa, is currently in college. She is currently enrolled at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California, to pursue a business degree.
